Aprilia, the leading motorcycle manufacturer company from Italy, has revealed its new scooter in Auto Expo 2020, India. The company has named the scooter Aprilia SXR 160. The scooter was designed in Italy itself, especially for the market of Nepal and India. Aprilia SXR 160 is a maxi -scooter that was launching in mid-2020 in India. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release of the maxi-scooter is rescheduled.

Even though the SXR 160 from Aprilia is releasing soon, the company has not published much information related to its specifications. However, it is believed that the SXR 160 will share all most the same platform as the SR 160. According to various sources, the Aprilia SXR 160 will come with the same 160 cc engine as the SR 160 which is a BS6 complaint single-cylinder engine. Also, the engine produces a peak power of 11 PS and a maximum torque of 11.6 NM.

As mentioned earlier, there is no actual information on the specifications of the SXR 160. But here are the rumoured specifications of the maxi scooter.

The scooter will come with a fuel injection system. The maxi scooter also includes disc brake at front and rear, mono-shock, single-channel ABS, and telescopic fork. This has a very sharp design to it with noticeable full LED headlight, an LED taillight, LED DRLs, a tall windscreen, and other various features. Moreover, it has a mobile charging port in case you need to charge your phone.

As mentioned, the release of the scooter has been postponed. But it is believed to release in October 2020 in India. The scooter will be available to buy at an expected price tag of INR. 1.24 lakhs in India. Once the scooter is available in India, it will hit the Nepali roads in no time.
