Controversy Surrounds Ola’s Electric Scooter After Reports of Front Suspension Breaking, Resulting in Serious Injury

n a recent development, Indian startup company Ola’s electric scooter, the S1, is facing controversy after reports of its front suspension breaking while in use. The incident, which occurred while a female driver was operating the scooter at a speed of only 35 km per hour, resulted in the driver being admitted to the ICU of a hospital with serious injuries.

After the accident was reported by the victim’s family on social media, the incident has been widely covered by Indian media. In response, Ola has expressed sorrow over the incident and stated that they have launched an investigation into the matter.

The company also mentioned that out of 150,000 units of Ola scooters currently in use, this is the only reported incident. Ola emphasized that the safety of their vehicles and passengers is their top priority and will make a decision on the matter after conducting a thorough investigation. This is not the first time Ola has faced criticism, as the company was previously under fire for causing a fire.
