Skoda is a well-known brand. It is was founded in 1895 and is a part of Volkswagen Group. In Nepal, Skoda sells only 4 models, Rapid, Octavia, Superb, and Kodiaq. So, recently, the company launched 3 vehicles, 1 new SUV and 2 facelifts. One of the vehicles that got a facelift is Skoda Rapid.
The only change that the rapid got from the old car is the engine. You don’t get so see any difference in the design on the exterior. Likewise, the car is now powered by 1 litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. There are 5 variants available in the Rapid model, rider, ambition, onyx, style and monte Carlo. The new rapid is a 5 seater Sedan. It has a length of 4413 and width of 1699 mm. Also, the height of the sedan is 1466 mm. Moreover, the new Rapid has a wheelbase of 2552 mm with Boot Space of 460 l. Likewise, the gross weight of the Skoda is 1670 kg.
Furthermore, it is powered by 1.0L TSI Petrol, 999 cc engine with manual transmission. It produces max power of 108.62 bhp at 5000-5500rpm and torque of 175 Nm at 1750-4000rpm. Likewise, the rapid has 18.97 kmpl of mileage.
Moreover, the seats in the rear passenger have an average amount of space and are very comfortable. The headroom and the legroom are enough for an average person. Also, there is a lot of storage spaces in the front. Furthermore, the materials feel very high quality and comfortable. On the rider variant, you don’t get much of the technical aspects as it is a base variant. But the 1.0 L TSI engine is enough for the car.
Likewise, the rider variant does not have fog lamps as well as alloy wheels. You also don’t get any touchscreen system on the rider variant. However, if you see the price of the rider variant car, not having some features is justifiable.
MAW Enterprises Private Limited is the official dealer of Skoda in Nepal. The launch of the sedan in Nepal has still not announced. There isn’t any report about the price of Rapid in Nepal as well.
Moreover, in India the price of Rapid is Rs 8,39,220 for the rider version, Rs 11,15,483 for the ambition version,Rs. 13,27,201 for the style, Rs 11,78,344 for the onyx and Rs 13,61,553 fro the monte carol version.
