The TVS Apache was launched in December, 2005. The company said that in 2008, 2.5 million Apache were on the road. The Apache RTR 60 was introduced in 2007 in India. It was the first bike in India to have a petal disc brake. TVS Apache was presented by Performance Bike Of The Year from Business Standard Motoring Awards in 2008.

Apache RTR 60 is powered by a 159.7 cc air-cooled engine. It has a fuel tank of 12.5 L and a claimed mileage of 60 kmpl. the power on offer is 15.12 bhp at 8500 rpm. It has features like conventional headlamp, LED position lamp, and LED tail lamp. Furthermore, the Apache also has single channel ABS, digital speedometer, digital trip meter, digital odometer, and analogue tachometer. It is available in 6 colors.
