Smart Driving License will now be delivered at home through post

The Bagmati state government has decided to provide licenses at home to the service recipients who have not been licensed for a long time. Smart Driving license will now be delivered at home through the post. 

The Bagmati state government will cooperate with the Postal Services Department. Navin Kumar Singh, a joint secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Bagmati Pradesh, said that the license is being provided from house to house in collaboration with the postal department.

According to him, more than five lakh licenses have been issued in all the four license offices. In this pandemic situation summoning crowd in the office is also not a good idea. We have been planning to deliver licenses at home.

For this, a meeting was held between the heads of the four license offices and the head of the postal service department on Kartik 6. There has been some kind of participation from the meeting, but the issue of reaching an agreement remains.

The work of delivering the license at home will start soon after signing an agreement with the postal department. Furthermore, the post office will provide service within the Kathmandu Valley for Rs. 50 and outside the Kathmandu Valley for a fee of Rs. 100.
