Yamaha is soon launching the new Yamaha MT-03 from the MT series in India which will then later will be introduced in Nepal as well. Yamaha is a globally leading brand that has mastered its tools in perfecting the motorbikes since 1955. It has a huge global demand and is known for its design, architecture and features all over the world.

Taking about the Yamaha company in Nepal, Morang Auto Works (MAW), is the sole authorised distributor of Yamaha in Nepal. The partnership began with Yamaha in 1975, importing Rajdoot and Escorts models for a single showroom. Today, Yamaha has one of the highest market shares in the motorcycle sector and their sales network spreads all across Nepal. Currently, in Nepal, Yamaha has over 80 outlets with more than a hundred Authorised Service Points.

There is a lot of Yamaha series in Nepal like like Yamaha FZ, FZS, Saluto, Fazer, R series and among them MT is one of the most popular series in Nepal. So within the MT Series, Yamaha is introducing its new bike YAMAHA MT-03. So let’s inspect the overall specifications and design of YAMAHA MT-03

Yamaha MT-03  Engine and Transmission:

Yamaha MT-03 is powered by 321cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke; 4 valves, DOHC engine. Talking about the performance, it has a max torque of 29.6 Nm @ 9000 alongside 41.4 PS @ 10750 rpm max power. The transmission is a 6-speed gear manual. The number of cylinders is two. Likewise, it has four valves and the engine is DOHC (Dual Overhead Camshaft).

Dimension and Design of Yamaha MT-03 :

The kerb weight of the Suzuki Gixxer is 169 kg. Similarly, the overall length, width, and height are 2090 mm, 754 mm, and 1069 mm respectively. The wheelbase is 1380 mm. Likewise, the ground clearance is 160 mm and the seat height is 779mm. The Front Brake Diameter is 298 mm whereas the Rear Brake Diameter is 220 mm.

Suspension, Brake and wheels:

Both the front and rear brakes are discs. The wheels are cast wheels with a size of 431.8 mm. The front tyre size is 110/70-17 and the rear tyre size is 140/70-17. The front suspension is 37mm KYB inverted fork and the rear suspension is 7-step preload adjustable.

Yamaha MT-03 Price and Availability:

MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. is going to be the sole authorized distributor of Yamaha MT-03 and the price of the bike in Nepal is expected to be around NPR 8 lakhs. Currently, the bike is yet to be launched in Nepal.
