Lucid Air, the luxurious electric sedan that will give a tough competition to Tesla

Lucid Motors recently launched its the luxury electric car, Lucid Air through a virtual launch from its headquarters. The electric sedan is available in 3 variants, Touring, Grand Touring and Dream Edition. The Lucid Air is making headlines all over the worlds and is being compared with tesla. The car is packed with amazing and practical technology and is very stylish.

The main focus is that it can cover a distance of 832 kilometres in full charge. Which means that the range is more than Tesla’s top-end car. The car can also travel a quarter-mile in just 10 seconds.

The 1st vehicle of Lucid motors will be delivered from 2021. Talk about the price of the car, the Air touring price starts from $95,000 and the air grand touring starts from $139,000.

The car’s dual-motor setup generates 1080 hp of power.  The Touring model has 650 hp and the Grand Touring generates 800 hp. The car includes a compact 113 kWh extended range battery. The company claims that the battery will be charged at high speed. Connect to the DC Fast Charging Network and has the capacity to cover a distance of 480 kilometres in 20 minutes of charging. The car is available in Stellar White, Infinite Black and Eureka Gold colors.

Lucid Air sets a speed of 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.5 seconds. The top speed of the car is 320 kilometers per hour. It is the only electric sedan car to cover a quarter mile in less than 10 seconds.

The interior of the electric car is inspired by a private jet. Lucid air interior highlight is its passenger seat that has a big space and large seats. Thre is a 34-inch covered glass canopy which floats above the dashboard.

The safety features have not been crash-tested yet but it is said to offer an array of driver-assistance technology and a Level 3 self-driving abilities. Other safety features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise controller with lane-keeping assist will be included in the future.

Electric car Lucid Air has 32 sensors connected. The car uses Ethernet Best Architecture for its driver monitoring system and its advanced driver assistance system. The car is open for booking in Lucid’s official website.
