Yamaha and Bajaj Launch Updated Motorcycles in Nepal for 2026
As 2026 begins, two of Nepal’s most popular motorcycle brands—Yamaha and Bajaj—have introduced updated models to the market. Yamaha has officially started sales of the FZS Hybrid, while Bajaj has opened bookings for the refreshed Pulsar 220F. Although these are not completely new motorcycles, both models come with significant updates in features and styling to strengthen their presence in Nepal’s competitive mid-range segment.
Yamaha FZS Hybrid Launched in Nepal
MAW Rides, the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles and scooters in Nepal, has begun sales of the Yamaha FZS Hybrid. The motorcycle retains the familiar design and mechanical setup of the existing FZS but introduces hybrid assistance and several new features.
Engine and Performance
The Yamaha FZS Hybrid is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 12.4 PS of power and 13.2 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. While there are no changes to engine output, the hybrid system is designed to improve fuel efficiency and overall ride smoothness.
New Features in FZS Hybrid
Yamaha has enhanced the FZS Hybrid with modern technology and convenience features. These include a 4.2-inch TFT color display, smart connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, traction control system, and a start-stop system that enables silent starts and better fuel economy. These additions make the FZS Hybrid one of the most feature-loaded motorcycles in its class.
