Most of the Transportation services such as renewal, name transfer, transfer agreement etc, has been resumed by the transportation management offices. The Transport Management Office, Thulo Bharyang, had started the license renewal service from last Thursday, and the Transport Management Office, Motorcycle Gurjudhara, reopened from this Sunday.
Moreover, due to the lockdown people couldn’t renewal their vehicle. And the exclusion period given by the provision Financial Act, 2077 BS for the renewal of private vehicles has already expired. In Kathmandu Valley, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, Hetauda, has not issued any new notice regarding the vehicles that have not been able to use the exemption period due to the injunction and have been fined due to the injunction period.
Likewise, the Upatyaka Transport Management Offices have informed about the matter and sent a letter to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Hetauda requesting for the exclusion of fine or extend the date.
As the decision on revenue and exclusion fines has to be taken by the Provincial Council of Ministers, it seems that it will take some time.
If you have also been fined or if the tax of 2076/77 is yet to be paid, it seems relevant to wait for some time to renew your vehicle. Cause, it is better to wait for any new notice from the office than to immediately renew the vehicle and pay the fine.
