Bagmati Province Implements Scoring System for Smart Driving License Trials

Starting from Falgun 2, 2079, the Bagmati Province has implemented a new scoring system for smart driving license trials. Under this system, examinees must achieve a minimum score of 70 out of 100 points to pass the practical test for a driver’s license.

On Tuesday, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Transport of Bagmati Province, Eklal Shrestha, and the Principal Secretary of the province, Mukunda Prasad Niraula, visited the Chabahil Transport Management Office to inspect the trial.

Harihar Pokhrel, the ministry’s spokesperson, stated that Minister Shrestha inaugurated the new system at the Transport Management Office in Bulukharyang on the same day.

The new system replaces the previous requirement of achieving 50% in the written exam before being eligible to take the practical test. Under the new system, examinees must score at least 60% in the written exam before taking the practical test.

The scoring system has already been implemented in other provinces such as Province 1, Gandaki, Madhesh, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim. As of today, Bagmati Province has also adopted the new system for smart driving license trials.
