The Volkswagen has updated its Arteon with new engines and new technology and revised styling. Likewise, the Volkswagen Arteon R is the version which we will be talking about today. Arteon R has a lot of things that are jaw-dropping and head-turning. The R version is in shooting brake as well as in Fastback variant with an extended roofline, 565 litres of boot space and so many other features.

At the front, we have new LED daytime running lights. These mark the headlights and stretch across the front grille. Similarly, At the back, we can see new LED tail-light. clusters and a small rooftop spoiler. The R model is sportier looking than the other Arteon versions.

The Volkswagen Arteon R version is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The Engine can produce  235 kW (316 hp). The company was considered a VR6 however, settled on the latest ‘Evo4’ version. Likewise, it has a seven-speed DSG gearbox. The expected top speed of the car is 155mph and 0-62mph in 5 seconds.

Having a rooftop does make the car a bit smaller but it has decent headspace of tall people. Looking at the design of the Arteon R, you won’t see much difference than the last years Arteon. However, the dashboard looks more sporty and there is an ‘R’ button on the steering wheel. Similarly, the R button is to reveal the sportiest model of the car. The car also comes in an E-hybrid model. The E–hybrid model has a charging port on the front of the car.

In America, the Shooting Brake variant is not available and only the estate versions are available. However, in Europe, all the new variants are available. Talking about the price of the car is around $35,000-$50,000.
