Tata Sierra Achieves 5-Star Safety Rating in Bharat NCAP Crash Test

The Tata Sierra has secured an impressive 5-star safety rating in crash tests conducted by Bharat NCAP. The SUV scored 31.14 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 44.73 out of 49 points for child occupant protection, highlighting its strong safety performance.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Tata Sierra demonstrated good protection for the driver’s head, neck, and lower body. The SUV also performed well in both the side movable deformable barrier test and the side pole impact test, ensuring high levels of passenger safety in side collisions.

For child safety, dynamic testing using child restraint systems (CRS) resulted in a score of 23.73 out of 24, along with a perfect 12 out of 12 for CRS installation. Additionally, the vehicle achieved a vehicle assessment score of 9 out of 13.

The tested model was equipped with advanced safety features, including:

  • Front airbags
  • Side head curtain airbags
  • Side chest airbags
  • Side pelvis airbags
  • Seatbelt pretensioners and load limiters
  • Seatbelt reminders
  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

According to Bharat NCAP, this 5-star safety rating applies to all variants of the new Tata Sierra, reinforcing its position as a highly safe and family-friendly SUV in the market.
