PAN Card Necessary:
It is now mandatory to provide a Permanent Account Number (PAN) when purchasing a quad.
This was reported by the tax authorities on Thursday. Now, while buying 4WD, the buyer has to provide the PAN number and the seller has to provide this on the sales invoice per unit.
As per the current budget for FY 2078-79, the department has advised relevant authorities and experts or stakeholders to enter the required PAN numbers while renewing their expert certificates. These rules are contained in item 391 of the budget for the current fiscal year 2078-70.
